CONCORD Rangers remain without a win since August after falling to a 2-0 loss at St Albans City.

Goals from David Noble and Percy Kiangebeni allowed the Saints to clinch all three points and leave Sammy Moore’s Beach Boys empty-handed.

However, Concord created the better chances in the first half, with St Albans goalkeeper Dean Snedker beating away a Jack Midson strike before Lee Minshull was denied as the hosts cleared off the goal-line.

Despite the majority of the chances falling the away side’s way, St Albans moved into the lead three minutes before the break.

Concord failed to clear a Ben Wyatt cross and Noble was on hand to score his first goal from open play in more than a year.

The home side came close to extending their advantage soon after the interval as David Moyo rattled the crossbar with a fierce drive before sending another effort inches wide of the target.

Wyatt then played a dangerous ball across the face of goal but no one was there to turn it home for the Saints.

But Kiangebeni put the game beyond Concord by getting his name on the scoresheet with 73 minutes on the clock.

Former Concord winger Khale Da Costa came close to rubbing salt in the wounds but two goals proved to be enough to see off the Beach Boys.
