PAIGE Kemp’s successful season continued with victory at the Boyce Hill Ladies’ Championship.
Fresh from finishing runner up in a strong field in the East of England Ladies’ Championship, the 15-year cadet member beat Joanne Herd to claim the crown at her home club in Benfleet.
Paige, who lives in Thundersley, was ahead on countback following the morning round after the two golfers carded gross 77.
But Paige hit a gross 74 in the afternoon for a gross 151, with 23-year-old Joanne carding 90 to leave her in second place with a gross 167.
The scratch competition standard was 70 in the morning and 72 in the afternoon, with Paige playing off three and Joanne five.
It made it a double club success for Paige as she was also victorious in the cadet championship a few weeks ago.
The Ladies’ Championship Handicap Trophy was won by Maria Barham, who plays off 12, with a nett 144.
