BILLERICAY Town have been handed an away trip to lower league Cambridge City in the next round of the FA Cup.

Town’s reward for beating Hornchurch 3-1 at New Lodge on Saturday, was a trip to the mid-table Evo-Stik Southern Premier side for a third qualifying round match.

East Thurrock , who progressed with an excellent 3-2 win at Kingstonian, were rewarded with a home tie against Ryman One South side Maidstone United.

And should Concord Rangers progress from tomorrow’s replay at Welling United, they will host fellow Ryman Premier League side Thurrock – a match which would see former Canvey player Mark Stimson visiting the Aspect Arena with his new Fleet side.

All the ties will be played on the weekend of Saturday, October 6.

The winners will get £7,500 prize money and will be will be just one more victory from a place in the first round proper when the League One and Two clubs enter the fray.
