CASTLE POINT BOROUGH COUNCIL
MECHANICAL TESTING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLES
The Council invites quotations from garages within the Borough to test class 4 and 5 vehicles to a standard laid down by the Vehicle Inspectorate. Garages will be expected to have the capacity to test approximately 360 vehicles per annum in order that they can be licensed as either Hackney Carriage or Private Hire Vehicles.
It is intended that the contract will be awarded to a garage from 1 April 2021 for a term of three years. Interested parties should contact the Licensing Team on 01268 882480 or email

Quotations must be returned addressed to the Head of Licensing and Safer Communities in a sealed envelope marked Mechanical Testing of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles by noon on 5 March 2021.
