Tributes have been paid to a "smart, intelligent, and well respected young man" after he died in a crash on Monday morning.
22 year-old Kruteen Desai from south east London has been formally identified as the victim following the crash in Tilbury.
A car was in collision with the central reservation on the A1089 near the Port of Tilbury at around 7.20am on Monday, July 8.
Sadly, Mr Desai died at the scene.
In a statement his parents said: “Kruteen, our only child was a smart, intelligent, and well respected young man in the community.
“He successfully completed his Masters in Chemical Engineering from Lancaster University and we were looking forward to attend his graduation ceremony on July 20.
“Whilst this may not happen now, he will always live on in our hearts and memories.
“May God bless and rest his soul in peace.”
