A GROUP of creative people have had their work on display at a supermarket to help raise cash for a new hospice.

Sharon Vane, who specialises in acrylic painting, Lorraine Jenkins, who does watercolour works and photographer Harry Jenkins have their works on show at Harris and Hoole Coffee Shop in Tesco Extra, off the A127 in Southend.

The exhibition is in aid of the new Fair Havens Hospice for adults being built opposite Priory Park, Southend.

Lorraine and Harry Jenkins are from Leigh.

Miss Vane, 45, from Southend said: "The money from 20 per cent of the art work sold is being donated Havens. We are all so proud and honoured to be displaying our work there and we hope to raise lots of money. It should be on display until after Christmas and a collection tin is on the counter of the coffee shop. I work a lot to support Havens Hospice and donate money, this seems a fantastic way to spread awareness while people are sitting in the coffee shop, they are able to enjoy the vast range of artwork available while supporting Havens Hospice and helping to donate towards the new hospice."
