A POPULAR pub's plans to create a micro-brewery in the empty unit next door have reached a significant milestone.
Three Wise Monkey's, in High Street, has submitted a planning application to convert the former Jacks store in order to expand its Other Monkeys Brewing arm.
The development will increase the business' production capacity so the brewery can sell its beer to other pubs and restaurants and a small retail outlet be created to showcase Other Monkeys' brews.
Plans also show a section of the Jacks store will form a small first-floor extension to the pub, with a bar backing on to brewery space behind.
The application states the equivalent of 10 full-time jobs will be created once work is complete.
