SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell felt Charlie Kelman’s wonder-goal was the only plus-point in the Shrimpers’ 3-2 defeat against Plymouth Argyle.
Kelman, 17, netted from close to the half-way line in stoppage time on his League debut.
And Blues boss Powell thought Kelman’s impressive effort was the solitary plus point for his side.
“If you want to take something from today it was Charlie’s goal,” said Powell.
“He’s a young talent who has been in and around the group.
“We all like him and he was a real livewire when he came on.
“ It was a wonderful goal and it’s the only positive I’ll take from today.
“He gave us a spark and I’ll encourage him to keep playing his part.”
