A MAN was viciously attacked by two thugs in a daylight robbery where his £10,000 watch was taken off his wrist.

Police are now appealing for information.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was walking along Station Lane into the underpass under the Pitsea Flyover at around 12.35pm on January 8 when he was jumped by two men who punched him him in the head, knocking him to the floor before repeatedly punching him.

He was then held down as one of the thugs removed his gold Rolex watch from his wrist before fleeing.

The victim was left with injuries to his lip, forehead and cheek.

The first man is described as white, in his early to mid-30s, around 5ft 7ins tall, of small build, with short black hair and wearing light-coloured jeans, black shoes and a black waterproof-type coat.

The second man is described as black in his mid-20s to early-30s, 6ft tall, of medium build, with short black hair and wearing a khaki padded parka-style coat with a hood.
