A TEENAGER was stabbed outside a shop during an evening attack.
The incident happened near Martin's, Grange Road, Billericay last night.
Forensic officers were seen outside the shop.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said: "We were called shortly before 6.10pm on Wednesday, January 30, with reports a teenager had been found injured in Grange Road, Billericay. The 16-year-old boy had suffered a stab wound to the leg and was taken to hospital.
"His injury was not life changing or life threatening.
"Enquiries are ongoing. Witnesses and anyone with information are asked to call Basildon CID on 101 quoting incident number 968 of January 30."
