FAMILIES enjoyed crafts and religious activities at a messy church session on Canvey.
The event was held at St Katherine’s Church on Hilton Road on Saturday.
It has held many similar events over the last two months which have proved very popular.
Reverend Marion Walford said the church has had to increase the amount of sessions due to how popular they are.
She said: “We hold messy church on the first Saturday of the month.
“We had to extend it to have two sessions as it has become so popular.
“We had various activities, including arts and crafts, where the children made stars and crowns.
“The children really enjoy the event and get excited for the different activities.
“I think the arts and crafts were the most popular on the day.”
The next messy church event will be held on Saturday, March 2.
