Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed of hundreds of pounds.

The victim, a 19-year-old worker from Adventure Island was approached by two men near the roundabout between the Seaway car park and the A1160 at 11.10am on Thursday 7 February.

One of the men demanded his phone and money and threatened him.

Reports suggest the men had a knife.

They left with his iPhone 6 and bank card and walked off towards Woodgrange Drive. A three figure sum of cash was later withdrawn using the card.

One of the suspects was described as white, aged 20 to 22 and of stocky build. He was about 5ft 10in tall, clean shaven and had ginger hair. He wore a dark coloured woolly hat and spoke with an Irish accent.

The second suspect was described as white, aged 20 to 22 and slim. He was about 6ft ins tall and had a large cold sore. He wore a blue hooded raincoat.

Advenuture Island boss, Philip Miller tweeted about the incident.
