FOLLOWING on from my recent comments about the proposed civic offices extension/vanity project it appears that the public are being consulted, albeit in a small way, and notification of this consultation is very low key.
I want your readers to be aware that the available information events are: Thursday 14 February, 5.30pm to 7pm at the Civic Offices, Grays.
Saturday 16 February, 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Grays Shopping Centre.
The “consultation” is also available online at :Thurrock.gov.uk/say from Monday 11 February to Tuesday 19 February These information events are very sparse considering the size of Thurrock.
If the public don’t show their support for the scheme I assume it won’t take place.
I would imagine you’d need a resounding yes from the tax paying public before spending £10million of their money.
So please voice your opinion. Perhaps you can think of a better use of £10million in the face of the proposed closure of Orsett Hospital.
