A MAN in his 20s was stabbed in Basildon following on altercation with a group of girls.
The victim went to hospital and suffered stab wounds to his leg, stomach, and wrist.
The incident took place on Friday, February 22 at 10pm, at Travers Way.
It was reported that following the altercation with the group of girls, one of them made a phone call and soon after two men arrived riding bicycles, wearing hooded jackets with their faces covered.
One of the men then threatened the victim with a knife before stabbing him.
The injuries are not believed to be serious.
Officers are carrying out extra patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the community.
