Police have detained a group of people suspected of immigration offences who found in the back of a lorry.
Essex Police teamed up with the Port of Tilbury police after reports surfaced that people had got into the back of a lorry.
The incident happened this morning and six people were detained.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a number of people found in the back of a lorry in Thurrock Parkway at around 11.20am on Friday, March 8.
"We attended and detained six people.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
A spokesman for the Port of Tilbury police said: "Assistance given to Essex Police's local units this morning.
"Six people detained from the back of a lorry and conveyed to custody.
"They were arrested on suspicion of illegal entry to the UK."
