A SOUTHEND business man has stepped into support a charity shop after it was raided.
Philip Miller, owner of Adventure Island together with Bright’s Locksmiths have donated a new safe for the shop.
The charity shop also received a cheque from a Hockley resident in the sum of £200.
Councillor Brian Ayling said: "There are a lot of good people out there and the scum bags who burgled the shop will be found and punished.
"Many thanks to all who have expressed their concern and offered assistance."
Philip Miller said: "You have to ask yourself what sort of person would rob a charity shop?
"You just can’t let the bad guys win all the time.
"One of my favourite sayings is; if everybody does a little bit then it soon becomes a big bit."
