A CHARITY has been awarded £200,000 to provide services to people experiencing loneliness.
South Essex Advocacy received the National Lottery Community Fund for the Hello Life project.
The aim is to support people aged 60 in Southend who are feeling loneliness and isolated.
Paula Blundell, charity chief executive, said: “This funding is a terrific boost to vulnerable, older people in Southend.
“We are delighted to deliver this project.”
