SOUTHEND United defender Harry Lennon is rated 50/50 for Saturday’s clash at Peterborough United.

Lennon went off injured during the second half of the 1-0 defeat to AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.

And Blues boss Chris Powell is unsure whether or not the centre-back will recover in time to face Posh.

“Harry had to come off after tweaking his groin,” said Powell.

“He did in the first half when he overstretched but the type of character he is he wanted to try and carry on.

“Unfortunately he had to come off and right now I would say he was 50/50 for this weekend’s game at Peterborough.”

Lennon joined the Shrimpers from Charlton Athletic in the summer but has endured an injury hit first season with the club.

The 24-year-old defender has been restricted to just five League starts this term after suffering a broken toe and a broken leg.
