A teenager has admitted a string of offences - including the possession of drugs and racially aggravated assault.
Tai Parsons, 18, of Southernhay Close, Basildon was arrested in Kingswood Park, Clayhill Road, Basildon on Monday March 18 by Operation Raptor officers,
He was subsequently charged with possessing the Class B drug cannabis, being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug cannabis and acquiring criminal property.
Parsons appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday March 20 where he pleaded guilty to the charges.
He also pleaded guilty to a racially aggravated assault.
Parsons was remanded in custody and will appear at Basildon Crown Court on April 17 for sentence.
A second man, Christian Bayoko, 23 of Princes Road, Dartford in Kent, also arrested on Monday, was charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug, acquiring criminal property and driving dangerously.
He also appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday March 20. He did not enter a plea to the charges and was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Basildon Crown Court on April 17.
