Essex Police has released ing a new photograph of Valentin Kachanov, as officers continue enquiries to find the 27-year-old, who was reported missing from West Thurrock.

He was last seen on Friday 8 February and police and his family are concerned for his welfare.

Valentin left his home at about 7am to go to Tesco Extra at Lakeside retail park.

He then went to the intu Lakeside shopping centre at 10am.

He withdrew some money from a HSBC cashpoint and may have used the Coral betting shop in the centre.

His movements after this remain unclear, as he may have returned to his home nearby or gone to Grays.

Valentin called his mother, who lives in Bulgaria, at about 7.40pm but has not been in contact since.

This is unusual as he was regularly in contact with his family in Bulgaria.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

"Valentin - or anyone who has seen him or has any information on his whereabouts - are asked to call 101.

"We are also interested to speak to anyone with dash cam footage who travelled along London Road between 6pm and 9pm on Friday 8 February in order to help our enquiries."
