Thieves smashed their way through brick walls stealing more than £10,000 of stock from a high street beauty salon and jewellers.
The crooks targeted Fiona’s Beauty Salon and Gold and Diamonds, Furtherwick Road, Canvey, on Monday night.
Laura Barton, 30, from the salon said the crooks took the machinery and stock worth thousands and smashed through to the jewellers.
The businesses
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called at around 9.45am on Tuesday, April 23 to reports of burglaries at two businesses in Canvey Island.
"It was reported beauty machinery were taken from Fiona’s Beauty Salon and jewellery and gold were taken from Gold & Diamonds.
"Our enquiries are ongoing.
"If you have any information please call us on 101 quoting incident 236 of April 23 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
The jewellers has been contacted for comment.
