HUNDREDS of people flocked to a popular town park to take part in an Easter egg hunt.
Members of the Braintree and Bocking Royal British Legion hosted the hunt in the public gardens in a bid to raise some much needed cash.
Families were able to take part in a hunt for some chocolate treats, and also had the chance to try their hand at several game stalls, including chuck the chicken and guess the name of the bunny.
All cash raised on the day is now being counted and will go towards and will go towards the Royal British Legion.
Co-organiser Karran Tomlinson said: "This was the first time we held this event so we didn't really know what to expect. But we were all very pleased to see all the children and families come along and have fun for a good cause.
"It was a really good turnout. We probably had about 300 people come to the gardens and join in. It was so busy that we had to go and get more chocolate eggs for the hunt."
Leftover eggs which weren't found on the hunt were later taken to Broomfield Hospital and given to youngsters undergoing treatment on the children's ward.
