A motorbike rider has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A13 slip road from Sadlers Farm roundabout.
A crash took place at roughly 6.30am on the entry slip road to the A13 from Sadlers Farm.
The slip road was initially closed, but has now reopened. There is still slow moving traffic in the area.
On Canvey, there is slow moving traffic on Canvey Way from Somnes Avenue, heading towards the Sadlers Farm interchange.
As a result of the crash, there is a build up of slow moving traffic from the Fairglen interchange on the A127.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road traffic collision at Sadlers Farm, Benfleet.
"We were called shortly after 6.20am today, Friday, May 17 with reports a van and a motorbike were in collision on the sliproad from the A130 onto the London-bound A13.
"The rider has been taken to hospital.
"The road is currently closed while the scene is cleared and officers are diverting traffic."
