MICHAEL Turner has vowed to keep on playing, despite being released by Southend United.
The 35-year-old has not been offered a new deal by Blues boss Kevin Bond.
But the experienced centre-back will not be hanging up his boots.
“I played just one game shy of 40 games last season and my body still feels good so I think I could carry on for another year or two,” said Turner.
“I thought it was 50/50 for me to get a new deal at Southend but I realise there aren’t too many players of my age still in League One.
“The club have gone in a different direction and I wish them all the best. But I want to keep on playing so I’m looking for another club now.”
Turner made 65 appearances for Blues.
