Hundreds of home lost power during a second wide spread power cuts in weeks.
About 340 homes on Canvey were affected last night.
Islanders took to Facebook to post about the incident.
It happened in and around Point Road in the SS8 7 post code.
The Echo understands it was off by about 9.41 and took a few hours to get it back.
This is the latest incident calling for better protection against power cuts.
On May 14 several thousand homes were affected by a huge power cut which lasted about 10 minutes.
UK Power Networks has been contacted for comment.
