A DRIVER has been arrested and a person is seriously injured in hospital after an incident at Burger King.
Police, paramedics and an air ambulance were called to the car park of the fast-food restaurant in Shripney Road, Bognor, at about 12.30pm today.
A Sussex Police spokesman said there had been a collision involving one person and a car.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The air ambulance was called out but was later stood down, a spokesman said.
The patient was treated at the scene for serious leg injuries, including a suspected fracture, before being driven to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester.
Witnesses reported a heavy police presence in the area this afternoon, including a dog unit.
Emergency services would not say whether the patient was male or female.
