A man was arrested on suspicion of drug and weapon offences after a stop and search.
Officers from Castle Point and Rochford Community Policing Team assisted by armed policing officers arrested a man travelling into Benfleet via London Road.
He was stopped in a vehicle and searched, and found to be in possession of a lock knife.
The man was also found to be in possession of class A and B drugs, multiple mobile phones and over £700 in cash.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was later released under investigation.
