FIRE crews tackled a blaze out in the open this week.
Tillingham fire station crew attended the incident in Bradwell on Tuesday night.
They were called to Maldon Road at 4.38pm with a Pinzgauer off-road vehicle from South Woodham Ferrers.
The teams tackled a bonfire measuring approximately four metres squared and extinguished it by 7.50pm.
A fire spokesman said: “A Pinzgauer all-terrain vehicle was also called to attend, as it was a hard location to access.
“The fire was safely extinguished quickly before it spread.”
