NATURE enthusiasts are being invited to help Essex Wildlife Trust celebrate its annual Marine Month.

Every year the public are encouraged to flock to the seas to explore what that lives there and learn more about the wildlife that uses our coast and how to protect it.

The Naze Centre, in Old Hall Lane, Walton will be hosting a series of events for children, families and adults.

It will include ‘Shark Crazy’, an activity filled session all about the marine predators.

Youngsters can have a go at the shark trail, play shark games and hunt for sharks teeth. It will run on Monday, August 12, 19 and 26.

The Naze Centre will also host family seashore discovery days, where people can learn all about our seashore wildlife on August 8, 10, 11, 22 and 27.

There will also be a Marine Wildlife Celebration Day at the Naze Centre on Saturday, August 24, from 10am to 4pm

The fun-filled day will celebrate coastal wildlife and there will be a Shoresearch survey, a guided walk of John Weston nature reserve, a scavenger hunt, beach clean and the unveiling of a new seal sculpture.
