A SOUTH Essex-born TV star was spotted leaving studios ahead of the return of a game show.

New host of Supermarket Sweep, Rylan Clark-Neal, was snapped leaving ITV Studios holding a special Tesco Supermarket Sweep bag for life as Tesco reveals it helped to bring the iconic show back to the nation’s screens as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations.

The 30-year-old, from Corringham, will take over the mantle from the late Dale Winton, who died last year aged 62.

The series will see four customers visit a department store where personal shoppers are waiting behind the scenes to help them.

After rising to fame on the X Factor, Rylan went on to host Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side and later this year will also join Zoe Ball to co-host Strictly Come Dancing’s It Takes Two.
