POLICE are appealing for information after an elderly man suffered serious injuries in a crash yesterday.
The man, in his eighties, was reportedly hit on the zebra crossing, on Ashingdon Road, at 6:30am yesterday, and Essex Police are appealing for witnesses, information, and dash cam footage.
The man remains in hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson from Essex Police, said: "We are appealing for witnesses, information, and dash cam footage after a serious collision in Ashingdon Road, Rochford.
"We were called at 6.50am on Tuesday 8 October, to reports that an elderly man and a Renault Clio had been involved in a collision.
"The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital for treatment.
"No arrests have been made and the driver of the Clio, a local man in his 30s, is assisting with our enquiries.
"If you can assist with our enquiries please call PC Tina Quinlivan at Chigwell’s Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting the incident number 153 of 8 October."
