CHILDREN of all ages kept their eyes peeled for pumpkins and spiders at a spooky vineyard trail.

Prettyfields Vineyard, in Ardleigh, opened its pumpkin patch to the public, along with a spider trail.

Families could go along and pick a pumpkin before hunting for different sizes spiders along the trail.

Tom Bunting, one of the directors at the vineyard, said it was a successful event.

He said: “It has been proving popular.

“It has been busy and it’s been great fun.

“We have had several hundred people come for the pumpkin picking and we had our spooky spider trail around the vineyard as well.

“We had children of all ages.”

In the summer, the vineyard hosted a Party in the Vines with live music and also hosted a charity run.

Tom said: “We have lots of events up here as we want to make it a really fun place to be.

“It’s a great place to walk around and enjoy.”

The pumpkin patch and spider trail will be open until Friday.
