A man arrested in connection with the death of a man when a car crashed into a pub has been released under investigation.
Essex Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision, which took place outside The Spinnaker pub, in Hythe Quay, Colchester, at around 12.50am on Sunday.
Sadly, a man in his 30s died at the scene.
He has since been named locally as Stuart McClung, a talented musician who was a member of band New Town Kings.
Two other men, aged 33 and 34, were also injured along with a woman, aged 34.
A 40 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including murder.
He has now been released under investigation.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and are keeping an open mind as to what led up to it.
