AS part National Lottery's 25th birthday, it has been revealed that the SS postcode is officially one of the luckiest in the country.
Over the last 25 years, The National Lottery has made 5,500 millionaires across the UK and has awarded £71 billion in prize money.
And as experts looked at the top twenty for lottery millionaires in the last five years, the latest figures confirm the Southend postcode has cemented its position as a lottery lucky location, coming in at number 18.

In the last five years alone, National Lottery has made 23 millionaires in the SS postcode area.
The SS postcode is also 19th for ticketholders winning £50,000 or more per head of the population since 2014
Since the launch of The National Lottery, some 55 millionaires have sported a SS postcode, almost one every six months.
In total, 375 top tier prizes of at least £50,000 have been banked by players in the SS postcode, averaging more than one win every month.
Winners who have recently news of their win include Tony and Debra Pearce, from Southend.

"On top of this, we have celebrated so many lucky winners who have won life-changing sums of money – here’s to another 25 years of making dreams come true.”
