SOL Campbell insists he is in it for the long haul at Southend United.
The struggling Shrimpers seem set to be relegated from League One this season.
But, when asked at the Shrimpers Trust AGM if he would walk away if Blues went do, Campbell confirmed he would be keen to remain at Roots Hall.
“If I’m still wanted then of course I would like to stay,” said Campbell.
“We will all work really hard to turn this around and it’s mathematically still there that we can stay up so we’ll be giving it everything.
“But I like the vision the chairman has here too.
“So many clubs don’t have that and they are just willing to stay where they are so I like the fact the chairman has ambition and Southend is a big club.”
Blues are currently second from bottom in the League One standings with just five points.
