FOUR arrests were made and two cars were seized as police carried out a traffic operation.
The dedicated operation, involving ANPR technology, was undertaken in Southend, at the same time as 13 new student constables gaining experience in road policing.
From the four arrests, two were taken into custody on suspicion of drug driving, while two were arrested for outstanding warrants.
As part of the operation, four cars were banned from the road, two vehicles were seized, 69 people were processed for offences, and three people were stopped and searched.
