A TATTOOIST did his bit to help those affected by the disastrous bushfires in Australia with a charity event.

Iain Parry runs Tattooine Tattoos, at the back of his partner Kirsty’s barber shop, K:one, in Eastwood Road North, Eastwood.

Iain, 40, held the event on Sunday. All the money from tattoos bought was donated to Australian Red Cross and WIRES.

Iain even designed a selection of cute tats dedicated to Australia from, koala bears to kangaroos.

Southend United players also came down to show their support and some donated signed shirts towards the cause.

There was also entertainment on the day from the Jack Cooper, lead singer of band, Holloway Road.

In total, £755 was raised.

Iain said: “The charity day went really well on Sunday.

“I’m thrilled that we managed to raise £755.

“All of the money has been donated directly to the charities as an online donation.

“Every little helps.”
