A FAMILY have been left homeless after their house went up in flames.
Firefighters from Colchester and Clacton were called to a shed fire in Regents Close, Colchester, at 2pm today (Saturday, February 1).
On arrival, crews reported that two garden sheds were completely alight and the fire had spread to the resident's house and the house next door.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by 3.20pm.
The resident’s house has been badly fire and smoke damaged, leaving the family homeless.
The house next door also suffered some fire and smoke damage.
Essex Fire and Rescue Service say the cause of the blaze was accidental.
