TWO men who were found to be in possession of a large amount of class A drugs have been released under investigation.
On Friday evening (Feb 7), officers from the community policing team and town centre team in Wickford were out proactively patrolling.
Their heightened presence was part of the force's Operation Sapphire.
As a result of the patrols, two males were stopped and search while in a vehicle by officers.
Immediately, a large quantity of class A drugs was found, alongside cash and a burner phone.
They have since been interviewed and released under investigation pending forensic enquiries.
