Reports of immigrants found in lorry at industrial estate
Immigrants have reportedly been found in a lorry at a busy industrial estate.
It is claimed the immigrants were found in Miles Gray Road, Basildon, shortly after 9am this morning.
Witnesses say one person was arrested.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called at 8.50am on Thursday 13 February with reports a man had been found in the back of a lorry in Miles Gray Road, Basildon.
"The 20-year-old man was detained on suspicion of immigration offences and will be handed over to immigration enforcement officers."
The Home Office has been contacted for comment.
