EMERGENCY services were called to an incident involving a small digger trapping a man’s leg.
Police, fire crews and paramedics attended the scene on Charminster Road to free the man.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We were called at 1.25pm today to a report that a small digger had overturned.
“Ambulance was requested and so were the fire service.”
Two fire crews attended from Redhill and Springbourne.
"One male casualty was released from under a mini digger, airbags were used," a spokesperson for DW Fire said.
The casualty was handed into the care of the paramedics and the fire crews stood down at 1.39pm.
South Western Ambulance Service confirmed they treated the patient for minor injuries and took him to hospital for further care.
