TWO men have been jailed for a combined six years for dealing drugs and racially attacking a boy in Basildon.

Tai Parsons filmed his vicious attack on a 16-year-old boy at Basildon Train Station on March 18 last year.

The yob, 18 at the time, filmed his attack on the boy on his phone, where he would shout racist insults to him as he kicked, stamped and spat on him.

A number of others were involved in the fight, which drew the attention of the police to the station.

One police car passed a parked Audi where Bayoko was in the driver’s seat, and Parsons in the passenger seat.

Parsons, who was known to police, drew the officers’ attention, and as they approached the car, he got out and fled on foot.

Officers asked Bayoko to open the door, and when he did so a jar, a strong smell of cannabis came out.

Bayoko then drove off at huge speed, driving away from the station before mounting a kerb and heading into a park next to Kingswood Medical Centre, parking up in the centre’s car park in the hope of losing the police.

However, another patrol car spotted him and he was arrested. Subsequent searches of the car and men’s properties found drugs, drug money, and items including Gucci bags thought to have been bought with drugs funds.

Parsons was later found, arrested, charged and admitted racially aggravated assault, possessing cannabis, acquiring criminal property and being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

A video saved on his phone showed him attacking the boy. Messages were also found on both the men’s phones which related to drug dealing.

Bayoko, 24, of Princes Road, Dartford, was convicted of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs, criminal property and dangerous driving.

The pair appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday where Parsons received 28 months in a youth detention centre, and Bayoko received 36 months in prison.

Mitigation for both said they were remorseful and had taken steps to ensure they were free of drugs.

Sentencing the duo, Recorder Tim Clark QC said: “This was clearly a drugs enterprise for financial gain. You were working together and you were directing others.”
