A MAN has been arrested after a window pane was thrown from a flat block.
The incident took place at around 9.30pm yesterday at Bewley Court.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We want to thank local residents for their understanding and patience following a disturbance in Southend last night.
"We were called to a concern for welfare in Whittingham Avenue, at around 9.30pm.
"A man had removed a window pain from an upstairs window and was causing a disturbance.
"Officers attended and at around 2.10am he was brought to safety, with the support of our colleagues from the fire and ambulance services.
"The man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in custody."
