A teenager has been rushed to hospital after three men broke into a home in Grays.
Police have launched an investigation after three men broke into a property on Richmond Road, and assaulted a teenager.
A teenager is in hospital with a head injury, Essex Police has confirmed.
Detectives believe the incident to be a targeted burglary.
A spokesman for the force, said: "Detectives are appealing for information following and aggravated burglary in Richmond Road, Grays.
"We received reports yesterday, Tuesday 2 June that three men had broken into a property and assaulted a young man.
"They have been described as in their early 20s.
"A teenager was taken to hospital with a head injury.
"We believe this to be a targeted incident.
"Anyone with information is asked to please call us on 101 quoting crime reference 42/78885/20.
"Information can also be given completely anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111."
