The Little Sewing Shop in Oswestry has announced that it has made the "hard decision" to close its doors.
The sewing shop, based on Salop Road, has been in business for over 40 years.
The shop's owner Val shared the news on Facebook, citing the pandemic, her age, and the fact that the building is set to be demolished as the reasons behind the decision.
"It’s with a very heavy heart that I have decided to close the doors of The Little Sewing shop.
"It’s been a hard decision but with the changes forced upon me by the covid situation, the premises due to be demolished and the fact I am at retirement age, I feel the time is right. I have met some very wonderful and loyal customers over the past 33 years and losing them will be my biggest regret in closing the shop.
"I would like to thank you all for your support, chats, business and camaraderie over the years. Winning the small business award last year was the icing on the cake! It’s leaves me to wish you all thanks, love and best wishes."
