POLICE deployed patrols in Stanway after reports of nuisance cyclists in the area from residents.
Members of Colchester's Community Policing Team were deployed to the area on Wednesday and spoke to residents about concerns.
A spokesman said: "Responding to specific request from the community officers from Colchester's Community Policing Team have deployed in the Stanway area following reports of nuisance cycling.
"In the hour they were deployed they spoke with approximately 40 residents, had positive educational engagements with ten cyclists, delivered leaflets in the affected area to raise awareness and encourage compliance.
"They also identified an individual who had repeatedly caused anti-social behaviour whilst cyclist in this area and reminded him of his responsibilities whilst cycling and the likely consequences if his behaviour does not alter."
