Travellers have driven up the A127 from Southend to Basildon after being moved on from a rugby club.
Around 15 caravans are now at Beacon Field car park in Langdon Hills, after driving 15 miles along the dual carriageway to the beauty spot from Southend Rugby Club.
It had been confirmed all travellers had left Southend this morning, but the Echo is now aware the group at the rugby club, is now at the car park, off Dry Street.
The travellers had been issued with a section 61 notice yesterday to move on from the rugby club.
In an email sent to the deputy leader of Basildon Council, the travellers journey from Southend to Basildon.
It has also been confirmed the Essex traveller unit have started the process of moving the group on.
