EXAM results days are usually one of the happiest events of the lives of youngsters, and here in Essex we are no exception.

But this year, due to coronavirus, the tradition of students meeting to collect those important results envelopes cannot take place as it usually would.

Echo:

Here we look back at delighted youths collecting their results from previous years – with plenty of joy and high jumps as they celebrate their hard work.

Sadly the pandemic means our hardworking students cannot join together to celebrate and get their results, as before, which means they will miss out on most of the tradition.

Echo:

It’ll all seem pretty strange as the students get their results in a new social distanced normal world, without hugging or cheering or high fiving each other.

It’ll sadly take much of the fun away from the much-anticipated milestone for so many young people who are planning their careers and next vital steps.

Echo:

While some schools are set to email the students their results, others will open and follow the social distancing rules and new normal, that we are becoming accustom to.

It it set be a much different and more calm affair without hugs and celebrating together.

Echo:

But it will still be a big day for thousands of young people across south Essex.
