The mini heatwave is set to continue in this weekend - with forecasters saying we'll get much more hot weather.
Today (Saturday) the temperatures are set to hit a warm 26 degrees, with plenty of sunshine and some breeze - so get out the barbeque and of course the sun cream.
Tomorrow (Sunday) we should see sunny weather with temperatures hitting a very nice 23 degrees - perfect for a glorious summers day at the beach - -socially distanced of course.
The July heatwave has come just as our very own holiday hot spot Southend has been named as one of the top places for a staycation in the UK... thanks to its outstanding beaches!
The town has been named third in research carried out by Holidu, a search engine for holiday rentals, behind the more inland Chichester and Ely.
The town is ranked higher than resort areas such as Bournemouth, Poole and Brighton.
