St Johns Road, Chadwell St Mary
MULTIPLE vehicles and buildings caught fire at an industrial estate.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service were called out to the estate in St Johns Road, Chadwell St Mary at 12.48am this morning.
When firefighters arrived at the scene they found several vehicles including cars, lorries and diggers plus a portable cabin were on fire in the yard of the industrial area.
By 2am crews were using a number of hoses surrounding the yard to tackle the fire and set up a safety zone around the area that was alight.
By 3.45am the fire was almost out, and at 5.10am the crews were ensuring the area was cool and all hot spots were extinguished.
An investigation will be carried out today into the cause of the fire.
